What is Breeders Terms

Breeders terms is an agreement between Caravale and the new puppy owner, it provides an ongoing interest in the puppy for continuing my breeding program.  It also allows families and their much loved Labrador be a part of bringing the joy of Labradors to other families in an ethical and responsible manner.  The welfare of the breeding bitch is paramount and no dog is ever exploited in this process, they are very much a part of our family.  Only families with Labrador experience will be considered for this very special program and you must be willing to provide a high quality diet, regular exercise and basic obedience training for the pup.

A female puppy is purchased at a reduced price in exchange for allowing the girl to be mated with a suitable stud when she has come of age and passed Hip & Elbow Dysplasia scoring and DNA testing is clear of inheritable diseases.  I pay for all pregnancy related costs (except additional food intake).  Mum returns to me in late pregnancy for puppies to be born and and stays until they are 8 weeks old and then returns home with you, you are very welcome to visit as much as you like while she stays with me to raise her pups.    You will receive a monetary thank you when pups are sold, which you can keep or put towards another pup at some stage.
